Why Professional Installation Matters
Steel lockers are heavier than they look — a six tier bank of 10 lockers can weigh several hundred kilograms. Correctly fixing lockers to walls and floors ensures they cannot tip or move in use, protecting both the users and the lockers themselves. Professional installation also ensures that locker banks are correctly aligned, level and finished to a standard that reflects well on your organisation.
The Installation Process
British Lockers installation teams deliver, position and assemble locker banks in accordance with the agreed layout. Wall fixings are installed where required — particularly for tall single tier lockers which must be secured against tipping. Base plinths and end panels are fitted, locks are set and tested, and the installation is checked and cleaned before handover.
How Long Does Installation Take?
An experienced British Lockers installation team can typically install 50-80 locker compartments per day. A 200-compartment installation typically takes 2-3 days. Installations are scheduled to minimise disruption to your operations — early starts, out-of-hours and weekend installations available.
