What solid grade laminate actually is
SGL is a 12mm or 13mm compact laminate sheet — multiple kraft paper layers impregnated with phenolic resin and pressed under heat. The result is a homogenous board that is impervious to water, dimensionally stable and tougher than steel against impact and graffiti.
- 12–13mm SGL doors and carcasses
- Stainless steel hinges and ironmongery
- Compatible with bleach-based cleaning regimes
- No corrosion in pool, spa or steam environments
Finishes and design language
Choose from oak, walnut, ash and concrete-effect timber finishes, premium solid colours, or two-tone configurations. Concealed hinges and recessed flush handles deliver a clean, contemporary look suited to boutique gyms, hotel spas and executive office floors.
Where SGL pays back fastest
If you have replaced steel changing-room lockers more than once due to humidity corrosion, SGL almost always wins on whole-life cost. Pool-side lockers especially: SGL has effectively unlimited service life in chlorine and steam, where steel typically fails in 5–8 years.
Configurations and locks
Available in 1 to 6-tier and Z-tier layouts, with the same RFID, coin-return, combination, hasp and cam lock options as our steel range. Smart RFID is the most common pairing for premium clubs as it removes lost-key admin and pairs naturally with member wristbands.
