Construction specification
Our standard steel locker uses a 0.7mm cold-rolled mild steel carcass with a 0.9mm reinforced door. Doors are stiffened with internal flanges and ship pre-drilled for cam, hasp, combination, RFID or coin-return locks. Carcasses are spot-welded and folded — no exposed sharp edges.
- 0.7mm carcass / 0.9mm reinforced door as standard
- Powder coat to any RAL or BS colour reference
- Optional silver-ion antibacterial coating
- Ventilated door panels for changing rooms
Tier configurations
Single-tier (full-height) suits hanging garments and bulky bag storage. Two-door is the most common school spec. Three to six-tier compact options suit valuables, day-use offices and changing villages where floor area is constrained. We also stock Z-tier configurations that double user capacity per metre while preserving full-height hanging space.
Finishes and colours
Standard stock colours include light grey, blue, red, green and yellow doors with grey carcasses. For specification projects we colour-match to corporate, school or trust palettes via RAL or BS references. Two-tone door/carcass combinations help mark out year groups, departments or shift teams.
Lifespan and warranty
We back our steel lockers with a 10-year manufacturer warranty against carcass failure. In real-world deployments — secondary schools and 24/7 gyms — typical service life is 15–20 years with occasional door or hinge replacement. Replacement parts remain available for the life of each model line.
