Wet-area materials that actually last
For pool-side and steam-room changing, we recommend solid grade laminate (SGL) or solid plastic over standard steel. SGL doors and carcasses are unaffected by humidity and can be hosed down during deep cleans. Where budget steers towards steel, we use galvanised carcasses with epoxy-grade powder coat and sealed edges.

Z-tier and stadium layouts
Z-tier lockers double member capacity per linear metre while still offering full-height hanging space — ideal for boutique studios and city-centre clubs. For larger leisure centres we layout banks in stadium runs with backs of the lockers acting as room dividers.
Locks that match the membership model
Pay-as-you-go gyms benefit from coin-return locks (members supply £1 returnable). 24/7 clubs typically prefer RFID locker locks tied to the access wristband, removing lost-key admin entirely. Combination dial locks are a low-cost middle ground but generate the highest member-service overhead long term.
